One of the projects which we are currently involved in which is very near & dear to our hearts, is the Compass Community Provision & Social Services Initiative.
Compass is a nationally recognised and registered organisation in South Africa. It provides its’ services to all people of all ages, regardless of race, creed or gender as prescribed in the Children’s Act, Act 38 of 2005.
Over the past 13 years Compass has been caring for abused and abandoned babies, children, and mothers.
Compass houses and shelters suffering people by providing a dignified home environment where they can have a second chance in life. The residents are provided with nutritional meals daily, living quarters, proper bathing facilities, clothing, toiletries & linen, etc.
Within the housing structure, a full-time crèche with qualified care givers are provided for the children within their care. This includes a structured program for the children’s daily activities. All the children of school going age receive school clothing, lunch & the stationery they need, this includes school fees.
In addition to providing housing, they also facilitate a community crèche which caters for low income parents. The Edu-Care Centre exists to provide an affordable safe-haven & a developmentally inclusive learning environment for toddlers, preschool and school age children. Their focus is to provide a stimulating early learning and child-care experience which promotes each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Their goal is to support and nurture the children’s, and their own natural desire to be life-long learners. The centre provides a holistic Early Childhood Development programme and includes fully balanced nutrition, educational and skills development.
Compass allows us to provide support and encouragement to thousands of families through this truly amazing initiative which we are committed to serve.
